A Time To Die

Tears form rivers from her soul;
Expelling anger from inside
Like ocean waves.

Her heart bleeds,
Her body shivers...
As still, she slaves.

Her feelings - forgotten...
To you, she is only skin and bone
Remaining here - in silence;
And you watch her die...
Cold and alone.

What meaning is tried here,
A life so void and pained,
Only to struggle to keep a breath;
So, in death, you have gained.

But still, she lies in silence,
And one heart cries, in pain;
The memories are fading
And ones too clear are insane.

She wants not to be buried
For the scavenger's meal,
But to be cleansed of such sins
O'er the ocean's appeal.

A thousand moons have come and gone,
And I have seen her eyes...
Shining bright as the sun
And long as the lies.

Don't lay pity on her soul,
For she is free to dream;
And that, her story told,
She lay softly down to sleep.
